Biography

It all started when we were kids. We made
fake wooden instruments and set up a stage in
our garage. The record player was hidden behind
a curtain. Admission was one pop bottle. It didn't
take long before we wanted real instruments.

Well I got my first guitar at the age of
seven and took lessons for three years. The
teacher couldn't show me much more than the
basics so I quit. At the age of ten, that was all
I needed to learn all my favorite songs.

In school around grade five the first
band I was ever in was formed. We called our
band Lead Belly after the legendary R&B artist.
We played our school mostly but we were happy
to play anywhere. We did get to play in different
small towns around Saskatchewan but nobody was
old enough to drive so our parents had to drive
us there. We had the small town halls rockin'.

Well the bass player quit and a new
band was formed in high school. This band was
called Topaz. We played around the high schools in
Moose Jaw and some in Regina. We also played
many towns in Saskatchewan. It was a great time in
my life. Then everything seem to disappear as
fast as it was formed. High school ended and
everybody went there seperate ways.

Eventually I met up with some guys from
school and we formed a band called Jasper Tweed.
This was the first time I was in a band with
my brother. We were sounding pretty good but
after five years of the same old bar scene my
brother decided to quit. So we added a lead
singer and formed our next band.

LP was the next band to rock the nation,
well, in Saskatchewan. We went as far as to quit
our jobs and go on the road with what we had.
Well that lasted for about a month and I was on
my own again.

Years went by this time and I thought it
was all over for playing live. Until I met up with
a friend from when we were kids. Well it didn't
take long for us to see that we were going in the
same direction with the music scene so we formed
a band called The South Side Rockers.

We had a great time rockin' and rollin'
all over Saskatchewan. We even changed our name
to Call of the Wild and played Country/Rock for awhile.
After twelve years we finally took that next big step
and recorded a CD. I thought this is it! We were supposed
to go out to the world and promote this CD. But the guys
lost interest and we never followed up with it.

After The South Side Rockers broke up, I
knew what I had to do. So I started recording all
the songs I've been working on for years. After
recording all the parts of every song, I released
my first solo CD project in Nov. 2000.

Thanks to the technology of the
programmable digital equipment, I was able to put
together a five-piece One Man Band sound. Which in turn
gave me room to explore the music writing and
guitar work. Creating the best sounds I could
possibly get.
